Nicole Nielsen-Pincus
Location: Eugene
Board Responsibilities: Projects Coordinator
Nicole got hooked on birding as a college student studying wildlife biology on a semester abroad program in East Africa. The lions and elephants were neat, but the birds were impossible to ignore and fun to identify. This carried over when she returned home and realized what she had been missing!
Nicole has worked on a variety of avian projects for universities, government agencies, and as a private consultant. This includes several summers at the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest working on Oregon State University’s long term Spotted Owl demography study. While earning a MS at the University of Idaho, she spent 3 years in the Blue Mountains in northeastern Oregon studying cavity-nesters. Nicole lives in Eugene and enjoys exploring both the wet and the dry parts of Oregon with her husband and 3 kids. Nicole Nielsen-Pincus
