Damian Fagan
Damian attended the University of Washington (1977-1982) and received a B.S. in Botany. During his student days, he participated in several Seattle Christmas Bird Counts and became interested in birding. After college he moved to Moab, Utah where he worked for the National Park Service as a seasonal ranger, ran a wildlife consulting business (BUTEO) that focused on threatened and endangered avian species, freelanced as a natural history writer, and eventually became a program manager for The Nature Conservancy. In 2004, he and his family moved to Bend, Oregon where he has pursued a mosaic of employment and volunteer opportunities. He joined the ECAS board in 2010.
